Health and Delivery

Every kitten we place comes with verifiable health screening and personally accompanied delivery. Here is exactly what we screen for, what you receive at handoff, and how delivery to Virginia works.

British Shorthair kitten

Health Screening: HCM and PKD

Responsible breeders screen for inherited conditions that can affect purebred cats. Our Ragdoll and British Shorthair lines are HCM screened. HCM, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, is a heart condition that can affect these breeds, and screening helps us place kittens from healthy lines.

Our lines are also PKD-clear. PKD, polycystic kidney disease, is an inherited kidney condition. We screen parent lines and share the results with you. We do not guarantee health outcomes, but we are transparent about every record we share.

Veterinary Health Certification and Vaccination Records

Every kitten comes with full veterinary health certification and vaccination records. You receive documentation of the kitten's health check, vaccinations, and deworming, so your own vet can continue care seamlessly. We encourage a vet visit within the first week.

What You Receive at Handoff

  • Full veterinary health certification
  • Vaccination records and deworming history
  • HCM and PKD screening status of parent lines
  • TICA and WCF registration information
  • Care guidance for the first days at home

USDA Class T Certified Carrier

Luxury Only Kittens is a USDA Class T certified carrier, valid through February 2029. This certification reflects our compliance with federal standards for the safe transport of kittens. It is one more verifiable credential behind every placement.

How Personally Accompanied Delivery to Virginia Works

We serve Virginia families with personally accompanied delivery from our Maryland cattery. A trained handler travels with your kitten the entire way, so your kitten arrives settled and safe. We never ship kittens on their own by cargo.

We regularly deliver to Northern Virginia, Richmond, Virginia Beach, Arlington, and Alexandria, and we deliver to all 50 states with the same care. You can meet your kitten at handoff and confirm it is the kitten you chose before final placement.

Family Screening Process

We screen families before placement to make sure each kitten goes to a suitable home. After you submit the inquiry form, we have a short call to learn about your home, other pets, and experience with cats. This protects the kitten and helps us match you with the right style.
