Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions Virginia families ask most about buying, price, health, delivery, and avoiding kitten scams.

Buying and Reserving

How do I start the process of getting a kitten?+

Submit the inquiry form on any page and tell us the style you love. We reply within 24 hours with available kittens, photos, videos, and health records so you can choose with confidence.

Can I visit the kittens before reserving?+

We are a boutique cattery in North Bethesda, Maryland, and we screen families before placement. We share photos, videos, and health records first, then arrange a short family screening call.

How does reserving a kitten work?+

After you choose a kitten and complete the family screening, you place a reservation. We then prepare your kitten for placement with full health certification and vaccination records.

Are kittens available right now?+

Availability changes as families are matched. Tell us the style you love and we share which kittens are currently available, with photos, videos, and health records.

Price

How much is a Ragdoll kitten in Virginia?+

Prices typically start around $2,000. The final placement depends on color and pattern. We share exact pricing after we confirm the style you love and current availability.

How much is a British Shorthair kitten?+

Prices typically start around $2,000. Rare colors such as lilac and chocolate may be placed at a premium. We confirm exact pricing once we know the style you want.

Do you offer payment plans?+

We discuss payment options during the family screening call. Pricing is confirmed after we match you with an available kitten and share its health records.

Health

Are your kittens HCM screened?+

Yes. Our British Shorthair and Ragdoll lines are HCM screened, and our lines are PKD-clear. We share full veterinary health certification and vaccination records with every kitten.

What health records do I receive?+

Every kitten comes with full veterinary health certification and vaccination records. We also share the screening status of the parents, including HCM and PKD results where relevant.

Do you guarantee the kitten is healthy?+

We provide full veterinary health certification, vaccination records, and screened parent lines. We do not guarantee health outcomes, and we are transparent about every record we share.

Delivery to Virginia

Do you deliver to Northern Virginia?+

Yes. We serve Northern Virginia, Richmond, Virginia Beach, Arlington, and Alexandria families with personally accompanied delivery from our Maryland cattery.

How does personally accompanied delivery work?+

A trained handler accompanies your kitten from our Maryland cattery to you, so your kitten travels safely and arrives settled. We deliver to all 50 states with the same care.

Do you ship kittens?+

We do not ship kittens on their own. We use personally accompanied delivery so a trained handler travels with your kitten the entire way, which is safer and less stressful.

Breed and Care

Which breeds do you place?+

We place Ragdoll, British Shorthair, Scottish Fold, and Scottish Straight kittens. Each breed has its own look and temperament, and we help you choose the right match for your home.

Are Ragdolls good with children?+

Ragdolls are known for being gentle, relaxed, and people-focused, which suits many families with children. We help you assess fit during the family screening call.

Do Scottish Folds need special care?+

Scottish Folds have a sweet temperament and need the same routine care as other breeds. We pair folds responsibly and screen for joint health, and we are transparent about welfare.

Avoiding Kitten Scams

How can I tell a real breeder from a scam?+

Real breeders share verifiable registration, health records, and photos or video of the actual kitten. We are TICA and WCF registered, USDA Class T certified, and featured on FOX 5 DC News.

Why do you ask questions before placement?+

We screen families before placement to make sure each kitten goes to a suitable home. A breeder who asks nothing and demands instant payment is a common scam signal.

Is it safe to get a kitten online?+

It is safe when you work with a registered cattery that provides credentials, health records, and personally accompanied delivery. We provide all three and have 240+ five-star reviews.
